Divine Design + Build loves doing projects in their neighboring town of Weston. The lush, green oasis provides for the perfect backdrop to so many of the kitchens we have had the pleasure of remodeling. But, like any renovation, the designer tasked to this project was faced with a home so devastatingly out of date. Not all houses are created equal? The perfect backdrop perhaps only provides for the perfect demo.

But, alas! The homeowners, their general contractor, along with the Divine designer shared a common goal: to open up the small kitchen, pull from modern design trends and include subtle (or not-so subtle) pops of color.

Alright. Ready. Set. Go.

Divine Design matched well with the homeowners of this imminently beautiful abode. For, the couple in question entertained notions of modern kitchen desires. However, their traditional kitchen set-up left them feeling anything but contemporary. Therefore, we look to Leicht Kitchens, our German cabinetry partner. Leicht is able to provide sleek, innovative cabinets that fit well into any type of home. While this Weston project opted for a flat panel cabinet, Leicht also work with the more transitional shaker.

Furthermore, a combination of handle and handle-less designs were integrated into the cabinetry set up. The clients alongside DDB’s designer chose a “Sand Grey”, “Matte Finish” lacquer for the tall and base cabinets in this Weston project. Additionally, the kitchen island and upper cabinets were also a lacquer, but in an alternative “Frosty White”, “Matte Finish”. Finally, in the coffee area, we supplied a “Macassar Fine”, “High Gloss” veneer that echoes of the dark woods and coffee beans.

All of the accessories chosen for the cabinets were installed in their brushed nickel iterations. The pulls and handles themselves are decidedly modern, yet subtle in their form. And, lastly, what would a kitchen be without it’s appliances? As most cabinets are built around it’s included appliance orders, this project was no different. The homeowners opted for Miele Appliances, and a custom range hood from Modern Aire. The inclusion of a combination steam oven and a Miele coffee system out this kitchen one notch above the rest!

"Mariette, you and your team have been a pleasure to work with. I am thrilled with my kitchen and my bathroom vanities and would highly recommend your firm. If you ever want to have people stop by my house to show them any of the cabinetry, I would be proud to show off my kitchen and bathrooms. Thank you again and best wishes for much continued success!"
