Brand Spotlight: Gaggenau German Appliances

November 20th, 2015 | Kitchens

One of the things that makes Divine Design & Build different is the unique, exemplary manufacturers and vendors we work with. Most of our brands are high-end, European companies, and we select every vendor we work with only after ensuring they offer beautiful, quality design that will withstand both your taste and your needs for decades to come. So, we wanted to highlight some of the wonderful manufacturers we work with to provide a little more insight into what makes them so great, and why you might consider their products for your home.

The next vendor in our brand spotlight series, Gaggenau German Appliances, is truly one of our favorites to work with and offers some of the most beautiful, original, and cutting-edge appliances on the market. Of course, they’ve had ample time to perfect their products: Gaggenau was started in Germany in the late 1600s, and is the oldest appliance manufacturer in the world. The company is still headquartered in the German town, Gaggenau, where it was founded. The brand has always been considered a leader in the industry, from the time it began manufacturing pellet stoves, up through its recent innovations in convection cooking technology.

A few of the many things that set Gaggenau apart:

  • The brand still manufacturers many of its appliances by hand, including its popular Ventilation 400 series.
  • Oven doors are four layers thick, allowing the exterior of the oven to maintain a 65 degree temperature, even temperatures inside reach 500+ degrees when on broiling or self-cleaning mode.

  • Gaggenau’s trade-secret blue enamel coating, found inside each of their ovens, which allows for especially easy self-cleaning.
  • Modular refrigeration columns allow for complete design customization.

  • All of the company’s appliances–from its coffee machine and microwaves, to its dishwasher and double ranges, are designed to be built seamlessly into cabinetry for a sleek, modern look.
  • At the 2008 IF Design Awards, the company won in every category it was nominated in.
