1970s CHIC

The 1970s. Famous for bell-bottoms and disco…but not for interior design. What do you do when you have a bathroom that’s as dated as a plaid pantsuit but don’t want to break the bank? You call a professional designer and her team of in-house contractors to give your bathroom a total makeover without disrupting your life.

The trick to staying on-budget with this project was to keep the plumbing and fixtures in generally the same location. Sleek, modern fixtures equaled high-impact in this guest retreat. Luxurious touches, such as a towel-warmer, multiple showerheads and LED lights, treat guests to a hotel-like experience. The larger tiles that rise all the way to the ceiling, the frameless glass shower enclosure and floating vanity work together to visually open up the space – now the bathroom looks so much bigger!

Your only worry now? Your guests may never want leave!

"Mariette, our kitchen is beautiful, and those who have seen it just love the space, the feel and the use of color. From the beginning, it was a collaborative effort and Mariette was straightforward, honest and through the whole process, kept her work. She was also able to offer us a great product and excellent workmanship. We would highly recommend Divine and Mariette Barsoum to anyone."
