Charlestown is currently one of the hottest neighborhoods in Boston, and Flagship Wharf is currently one of the hottest condo buildings in Charlestown. Which means when we were hired to do a kitchen renovation in the building, we knew we had to make it fitting of its hip location. That meant sleek, contemporary cabinets, best-in-class German appliances, a chic gray color scheme, and trend-setting, unexpected touches throughout the space.
The finished result befit not just the neighborhood, but the home and its owner perfectly. Take a tour, below.
The overall tone of the space was chic and contemporary, thanks to sleek, two-tone gray cabinets.
Pearlescent tile reflects light from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the wall opposite the kitchen space, giving the area a welcoming glow.
An island with a built-in wine bar makes it easy to entertain in the adjacent dining space.
A pink rug was added under the classic tulip table to warm up the space and add big dose of color to the otherwise neutral area.
Because of the home’s urban location, space was at a premium … meaning smart storage was key. We added a sleek appliance garage above the island, eliminating the need for a swing-open door.
